SPARKS!

A new musical by Cathy Lawrence, in collaboration with Eeppi Ursin and the cast

"Sparks! is an effervescent gem of a show. This compact contemporary musical brings you along the surprising, touching, and funny journey of two souls searching for meaningful connection. We thoroughly enjoyed the music, story, and the engaging cast.  And the post-show improv at the end is hilarious! "-Karen Rutberg

Can one date change the world?

On a first date, Kitty, a horse-loving Cantor, and Lenny, a crack computer coder, long for a better world.  He thinks dating should be about creating something to benefit others. She excitedly relates this to the Jewish concept of social justice: Tikkun Olam - repairing the world through good deeds.  They hatch a wild plan to write a musical about the new dating concept.

But Kitty is soon disheartened by Lenny's insistence on using artificial intelligence. The musical waiters watch, wait, and craftily help the date along, ultimately embracing  Tikkun Olam and discovering a spark or two of their own!
